- Are you using the medications the RIGHT WAY?
- Ask Your Pharmacist:
- The right way to store medicines;
- The right way to take your medicines
- Always buy all medicines from a licensed pharmacy/chemist shop
- Always check the medicines for their:
- Name
- Expiry date
- Price on the label
- Right quantity
- Ensure that the seal is intact
- Always insist on a bill, this will help you to sort any matter of adverse reaction or side effects.
- Always store medicines at your house in proper places away from moisture and direct sunlight.
- Do not store the medicines in bathroom cabinets, humid places, in the kitchen or close to windows
- Keep all medicines out of reach of children
- Never allow your child to take medicines un-supervised
- Flush away all un-used medications and date-expired products
- Remember to take your medication as advised by your doctor
- Check if your medication is to be taken, before or after meals
- Do not indulge in self-medication, even for minor illness.
- Always complete the medication for the full course. Do not stop the drug mid-way, otherwise your infection will not be cured completely.
- Remember, all that is herbal is not completely safe.
