One day Seminar on the Food Safety and Standard Act,  2006 & Rules and Regulations, 2011 was held on Saturday, 17th September, 2011 at Hotel Fidalgo, Panaji-Goa, for the Food Regulatory Officers as well as for Food Business operators of the State.  The said Seminar was organized by Indian Dairy Association (West Zone) in cor-ordination with the Sate FDA Goa and the Goa Dairy Milk Production Association.  Advocate P.B. Sobanil, a Consultant and Legal Advisor to the Food Industry conducted the Seminar and highlighted the salient features of the Food Safety and Standard Act , the Registration and Licensing norms and procedures to be followed by the food business operators, the various offences and penalties stipulated under the said Act and hygienic conditions, and sanitary practices to be adopted both by the petty food vendors and the food business operators.
